Anyone else's heart sink?

Anyone else think Bradie James may have pulled a Leon Lett by taking his helmet off and possibly losing a game for us that we had already won?

It crossed my mind.

Luckily the TB lineman through his, causing a major penatly against them.

the play was over and the possesion changed. i don't think it could have lost us the game.

It wouldn't have mattered cuz it happened after the play. It would have still been first down, our ball.

I don't think it would've mattered. It was a change of possession, the flag would've came after the play was over.

I wasn't worried because it occured after the play. Field position doesn't matter when you are just going to take a knee.

Yep, I realized this a few seconds later. But when I saw Bradie take his helmet off and the flag came a few seconds later, I was briefly terrified.

Exactly. Dead-ball Personal Foul.

My heart sunk because I wasn't sure what the flag was for, even though the announcers mentioned a couple of guys removing helmets. Calls like that just need to be outlawed in the NFL. A guy taking his helmet off has no bearing on what happens on the field. How can they justify this rule?

I would be lying if I didnt feel a little something. It's been happening to us a lot.

We make a big play, only to have it ruined by a penalty. So...yeah. Just a little.

Didn't bother me at all.

When the Cleveland LB did it, it was on third down and gave them a first down.

Even if James had been flagged, it was a dead ball, after fourth down and change of possession...I'm almost positive it would have merely moved the offense back 15 yards for the kneel downs.

A dead ball penalty after 4th down has already been played can't give the offense a first down.

Because people were, you know, doing their jobs like making tackles, catching passes, or kicking field goals, and acting like they won the Super Bowl by taking off their helmet.
