5 Cowboys who deserve blame for humiliating home loss vs. Saints
Story by Jerry Trotta

If there were any good vibes permeating from the Dallas Cowboys' Week 1 win, they vanished early in the first quarter of Sunday's 44-19 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Pegged as touchdown favorites in their home opener and widely predicted to win convincingly, the Cowboys suffered their second straight blowout loss at home.

The defeat ended Dallas' 16-game home winning streak in the regular season, but fans care very little about that right now. Mike Zimmer's honeymoon phase is over and the Cowboys' lack of playmakers on offense beyond CeeDee Lamb proved costly in the loss.

There is plenty of blame to go around after a 35-point massacre at home, but these coaches and players deserve the biggest share of the blame pie.

5. Cowboys' nose tackles
4. HC Mike McCarthy
3. S Donovan Wilson
2. WR Jalen Brooks
1. DC Mike Zimmer

What is Zimm scheme?
Do DT's eat up O.Line....?
Then LB'Rs should be free to flow to ball
Or...
Are we still Rod Marinelli ....3Tech & ends get upfield, react to run, LB'rs fend for themselves

Which didnt happen?

The worst player on the team was Kendrick’s number 50, he was so slow it was ridiculous. I think that’s his name anyways coaches buddy.

The LB’s didn’t play either.

Jalen Brooks and Donovan Wilson being higher on this list than McCarthy and Jerry is laughable
Yeah and I don’t even want to admit this to you but Dak should replace Brooks. There were bigger issues but Dak in the second half was bad. Brooks goofed but he didn’t even get enough snaps to warrant a top 5 spot.

ABD. Anybody but Dak gets the blame. Does Jerry Trotta get his content from CZone?

Parsons needs to be on the list. Not trying to stop the run after the first series was sad to watch. He gets upfield and could easily target the rb on run plays instead of going after the qb. If he does that then we will be in better shape.

Only 5? Sorry man, but this was another epic failure by the entire team, coaches and FO. Take your pick, they sucked.

Naw people know Dak ain’t play well lol. They should know. I was fine with him in the first half but he crumbled like the rest of the team. If I gotta complaint on Dak is when things go bad he goes bad with them and I don’t think that’s excusable. If my team loses I should be able to say well at least Dak did what he could. He can do better than that I get the issues but still this is our roster unless they have another Amari deal under their sleeve and I hope they don’t because they need to hold on to their first rounder.
