So I rewatched the game, one player that stood out to me who isn't talked about is Land. I saw him getting constant pressure. The guy did well in college in getting to the QB, any thoughts he could replace someone on the DL if he continues playing this way??

Not on the Cowboys line. Could he part of a trade package to bring in an offensive lineman?

Good get off, he's obviously athletic and seems like he has good hands. Had a nice stack and shed down near the goalline.

It'd be more interesting to see him against higher-level players. To have such a quiet camp and be that active in the game makes me think it was more about his matchup against Jags' depth than any future potential.

Like him so far based on competition level though. That was kinda mostly against 3s. I would like to get a more accurate picture of him by seeing what he could do against backups and maybe starters.

for once our D line is a strength....Isaiah Land we picked up free agent from Florida AM Rattlers...we do better in my opinion late in draft and free agents

than most teams...how did we let McGovern walk on offensive side of line?....its just harder to be good or even decent offensive lineman than Defensive

in my lowly opinion...but to answer your original question i could see Land ...land a place in D line rotation...hope we carry at least 10-11 and we need

duct tape for O line....i hope we have the leadership and coaching that can make proper adjustments if our O line goes in crapper...remember a couple years back

where Cincy had like the worst O line in football and almost won Super bowl?....

McGovern wasn't very good last year.

I think letting Connor Williams go was a bigger misstep.

As I wrote in my write-up, is going to be very hard to sneak him through waivers onto the PS.

He was a handful for those backup OL. Think he drew three holding penalties, including one on a play where he probably would have had a sack if the OT didn't grab him. Did it against two different OTs, too.

Don't know if he's had a quiet camp or we're just not hearing much about him because he's not a media focus. McCarthy said something about how deep the team was in pass rushers, and Land could be one reason he said that.

Land could be one of those guys who just has the instincts on how to pressure the QB, and cause fits to a OT. Kinda like a Charles Haley type player. Put on another 20 lbs and he could be something else. Not to say he is that now, but some guys just have that natural ability. Sure he did it against less competition, but that's what you expect if you have talent. Uses leverage, positioning and hands tactfully, along with the will. Haley had that, if he could come even close to that, he will be a great asset. Also agree Dallas could lose him if placed on PS. They will have quite a conundrum with some of these young guys who show promise.

They need Land to “pull something” at cut down so they can stash him for a year. Pass rushers don’t grow on trees. I’m not sure he would make it through waivers if he keeps this up
