All Blacks (New Zealand) vs Springboks (South Africa) yesterday in international rugby. Man I love rugby. Beauden Barrett is the man, even though his goal kicking has been **** lately.

I wish I understood Rugby. Cricket as well. Huge sports in other parts of the world but I haven't the slightest clue about either of them.

Rugby is pretty simple on the surface. It only takes a couple of games to be able to follow what's going on, but there are a LOT of nuances that I still don't get. I watch youtube videos and pick up what I can from people who've been watching and playing their whole lives, but it's a work in progress.

For the life of me I can't make heads or tales of cricket.

Think of it like baseball with a few meal breaks thrown in. Someone hits a thrown ball and then runs. Can be out by either a catch or run out (not getting on wicket (base)).

Every now and then they stop to eat a full meal, cucumber sandwiches or afternoon tea.

I quite like the short versions of cricket, particularly t20 where each side has 20 overs (an over consists of 6 balls bowled by the same bowler)
Never got in to it enough to understand the intricacies of the game or how the fielders are set up and can't be arsed watching a five day test match though
