A Jimmy Johnson/Parcells type influence would make a world of difference

I’m the biggest Garrett supporter here (because I root for good people and Garrett may be the best person who’s an NFL coach today) but this players coach stuff is starting to be too reminiscent of Wade.

You have possibly the most talented roster in the league and you come out looking like that?!

Very few of Belichicks teams have been this talented and yet you never see them in a dog fight with that bad of an opponent with 7 mins to go in the 4th.

Clearly the players aren’t doing what they need to be so the hammer needs to come down.

Agree.

However, Belly's teams have almost all been extremely talented. It's an urban myth that they're not. Someone said it, and people just started agreeing en masse.

Look at their last year's super bowl winning team. Edelmann, Gronk, Flowers, Michel, Hightower, Van Noy, Gilmore, McCourty were all top notch players. Very solid OL, and very good players sprinkled liberally all over the D. And people say they weren't talented!!!! Hogwash!!!!!!

Been said those are the best types of coaches for the boys, but thoses types mix about as well as oil and water with jerrah. They take camera time away from him and he is not having that.

Chris Hogan magically turns into Jerry Rice.

He makes players much better than they are. See how they do when they leave NE.

He’s only had one team as stacked as this one is on both sides. His 2007 team and the team 2-3 years ago people thought would run the table.

Yeah the true litmus test is how does your football team look after a bye? Under Garrett has the Cowboys ever looked good? Regular season or playoffs? NOPE. Garrett and the Cowboys culture needs to change. I am not sure if it is Jerry's culture or Garrett's? But this culture is bad.

Yeah of course they're talented, but a lot of playoff teams have talented players, it's that the Patriots seem to get the best out of their players, stars or not. Geez, they beat the Falcons with Elelman, Hogan, and Amendola at WR. And that's after being down 28-3. That's absurd! While those 3 WR are good, most teams wouldn't even make the playoffs with them.

great coaches always make a big difference. that's why garrett hasn't made much of a difference. defense getting better, offense looking less predictable, and wr's running better routes. all have new coaches who were upgrades from the old guard.

Ohhhhh, that’s the true test.

With a real HC this team would be blowing people out. We already are. But it wouldn’t be close. It’s the little things, penalties, drops, focus that’s killing this team. We just aren’t sharp, yet we are blowing our division out. We have scored over 30 in 5 of 8 games.

Its frustrating as this team could be really good.

I agree a 100%, but are those types willing to work for Jones who meddles. Parcells agreed to take Dallas Job because he needed money and Jerry threw money at him...he lasted 4 years, couldn't take it anymore and didn't finish his contract. he quit.....

the problem is any coach worth anything, would suffer under jerry and it will turn into a mess

The Patriots are always stocking the cupboards with young talent via draft picks. They tend to stockpile picks year after year. They always have good young players. Then they add a few quality free agents to fill in the holes.

Those type of coaches are only effective if they have skins on the wall.
Unfortunately those coaches can’t co-exist with this Owner.

Ohhhhh, that’s the true test.
Yeah man! Where have you been?

NFL teams are all judged today by how they play the next game after their bye. It’s the most important thing.

We beat a division opponent 37-18 on the road but we played terrible. It was sooo embarrassing.
