Never been a Jerry basher ( quite the opposite) but this is on him for not either firing Garrett or at a min giving him a so-called token extension. There are reasons owners more times than not will tack an extra year to their head coach in the final year of his deal. They're hoping to minimize the toxic and fragile environment have a lame-duck coach can create if their team goes on a losing spell. Exactly what we're now seeing IMO. We are losing with players looking for leadership from their coach but guess what. His aaa is one the chopping block so what can he say. I'm not buying the overrated/lack of talent narrative. This team hasn't look right all season and no way in hell you're convincing me ALL 55 players have regressed.....at the same time. This is Jerry and Stephen all the way IMO. Did they actually think we would a different Garrett from what we've seen the last 8-9 years? In other words, what we are now seeing is Jerry and Stephen's decision to bring Garrett back as a lame-duck coach coming to ahead.

Look at this way, if Jerry didn't have enough confidence to extend his coach ( even a year ), why should players? Bottom line, we've now wasted a season asking players to believe in a coach the owner himself lost confidence.
