The 2023 NFL Trade Deadline is just around the corner (Tuesday, October 31st) and there are obviously a lot of things that many of us would like to see the Dallas Cowboys do.

When it comes to trades there is nothing that is ever really out of the question, but it all always centers around whether or not the price is right. Things have to make sense as far as the price you are paying, obviously the player you are acquiring, the contract you are absorbing, so on and so forth.

For the purposes of refreshing minds we wanted to lay out a list of every single trade that the Cowboys have made over the last year given that they made a move right before the 2022 deadline one year ago today.

In case you did not realize it in looking at this list the Cowboys have already traded away their fourth-, fifth- and sixth-round picks in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft although they do have an extra seventh-rounder that they got in the trade a year ago. It stands to reason that Dallas will receive a compensatory pick or two, but obviously that is not known at this time.

That would mean a 6 pick draft for 2024...at this projection. Dallas will trade off a current player in the defensive line and secondary or get a compensatory pick.

Did the Cowboys have two 5th round picks in the 2023 draft?

It says that the Cowboys sent a 2023 5th round pick for Gilmore and a 2023 5th round pick for Cooks. I'm thinking one of them was a compensatory pick?

They sent a 2024 5th round pick for the rights to draft Eric Scott in the 6th round of the last draft.

They seem fixated on getting rid of their 5th round draft picks. That's a shame. In 2022 they had two 5th round picks that they used to get DaRon Bland and Damone Clark.

Might I suggest they consider trading their 2nd round pick? It's obviously the least important round to them.

I think it's the makeup round:

"Hey we didn't get the guy we wanted in the 1st round so we'll just draft the next guy on the list at that position."

That would explain Jerry's reticence to give up any more picks... The draft is one of his favorite things.

Agreed to acquire S Kevin Byard from the Titans in exchange for S Terrell Edmunds, a 2024 fifth-round draft pick, and a 2024 sixth-round draft pick.

Acquired TE Albert Okwuegbunam and a 2025 7th-round pick from Denver in exchange for a 2025 6th-round pick.

Agreed to trade a 2025 fourth-round pick and a 2023 seventh-round pick (No. 219 overall) to the Lions in exchange for RB D'Andre Swift and a 2023 seventh-round pick (No. 249 overall).

Agreed to terms to acquire DE Robert Quinn from the Bears in exchange for a 2023 fourth-round draft pick.
