Personally I don't think we are going to go unless we win the next 3 games and for sure beat the Eagles and Giants.

We are 1-3 in the Division. Its hard to get in with that type of record in your division.

If guys will start making routine plays we might have a chance. Bottom line though we've just gave away to many games.

NFC Standings

Chicago 7-1

NY Giants 6-2

New Orleans 6-2

Seattle 4-3

Those are the division leaders and teams for sure to get in the playoffs.

Atlanta 5-3 (lock for the wild card as of now)

St. Louis 4-4

Philadelphia 4-4

Minnesota 4-4

Dallas 4-4

The good thing is we play most of these teams and could still get in but we dont have much room for era.

The fact we play most of these guys actually gives us a shot at getting in.
 
i don't think that we have to win the next 3.....2 of 3 is a must, and then all remaining home games, along with either at ATL or at NYG. If that scenario occurs we go 10-6, and you never know where that will put us.

That being said, i think if we can eliminate the mental errors we can win the next 3 in a row, now the INDY game will be very tough, but i think we can do it. We have the running game to batter their bad run defense and keep the best player in the NFL off the field. If we can sustain long drives with our running game and score enough times i think we could do it.
 
Seattle is no lock to go into the playoffs at 4-3. I wouldn't be surprised if they lost to Oakland tonight. Their defense is nowhere near what it was last year, and there is no telling when Shaun Alexander or Hasselbeck are coming back (if at all). Either the Rams or the Seahawks are going to win the NFC West (Probably at 9-7) and that's it for that division.

New Orleans has been a nice first half story, but their schedule has been pretty cupcake and their next three games are at Pittsburgh, Cincy and at Atlanta. I wouldn't be surprised if the wheels started coming off by the time they make it to Dallas.
 
If somehow the "boys can put some mistake free games together, no one can beat them................but that may be too much to expect.

It would be nice if they went on one of those rolls like the Giants did the year they lost the SB to the Ravens. Fassel guaranteed they would not lose anymore games afte the 8th or 9th week and they didn't.

See I think we have to beat INDY just because its one of those games we are supposed to lose and we've lost some games we are supposed to win.

We gotta start making up for these games we gift wrapped and handed to other teams.

We really need to win 6 out of our next 8 games pretty much.
 
Assuming that the Cowboys are going to lose a few more games - best that one of them comes against the Colts (an AFC team).

The Cowboys have already beaten the Panthers.

The games vs. the Saints and Falcons are going to be huge too - at least one of these teams is going to be in the Wild Card picture.

There is a great chance that Atlanta on the road will be the game that determines whether the Cowboys make or miss the playoffs as a Wild Card.
 
From my perspective, there is the Giants and the Bears and then a big glob of mediocrity behind that. One or two teams are going to get hot the final month of the season, just like Washington did last year (they were 5-6 at one point last year). With 5 out of the last 7 at home and Romo revitalizing the offense, the Cowboys are as likely as any team. They have the talent to pull it off, but they'll have to get smarter and quit making mistakes.
 
The Giants maybe about to hit their mediocrity period with their DL problems. Strahan, Osi and Tuck are out for a few games............
 
The good news is that we get to play them all again. We have the tie breaker against the Panthers, and would be great to beat ATL AND NO. With so many teams being 4-4 I do think 9-7 might get someone in. Strahan out, and Houston gave the Giants all they wanted this week. NO TEAM IN THE NFC IS SAFE IN MY OPINION. Well, except the BEars only because of their division.

We don't even have to be "mistake free..." We have to be mistake minimal.

I agree. If you want to give the 'boys a loss vs. Indy and a win vs. AZ sunday, then they're going to HAVE to win one of the big games on the road -- vs. the ATL or the NYFG.

But who the hell knows!
