And his remarks after that team wide skull-dragging by the Packers in the '23 playoffs.Disliked because of the Hot Boyz ordeal...
It's the opposite. Bain is more of a sure thing, but limited by arm length. Theineman is severely limited by his stiff hips and extreme lack of instincts. Has bust written all over him.Thought there was more upside with Bain And Thieneman tbh….thooght end/edge was more important than safety. Bain over Lawrence and I don’t think Thieneman is THAT much less than Downs….more impact from rush. We will see though.
Bain was productive in college, seemed mor4 of the sure thing….and I think end play/pass rush is more important on D. Downs is defiantly better than Thieneman, but safety is less impactful….so I wanted the more “sure” thing in this draft at end considering how bad our D was. I hope I’m wrong and Lawrence balls out, he’ll even Barham has promise in rushing….just don’t want to get into the season and we have no pass rush lol, will be another long year. It's the opposite. The upside of Malachi is massive. I'm curious, why do you think they have more upside?
Light years!Even though this group hasn't played a single down together, you gotta admit it's looking a lot better than the craptastic mess we had at this point last year.
Upside and sure thing are entirely different matters. Quite often projects have more upside.Bain was productive in college, seemed mor4 of the sure thing….and I think end play/pass rush is more important on D. Eh, I think having someone who can regularly put pressure on the QB helps the backend more than having a good S while having zero rush…..longer the QB has the less effective a great safety or corner becomes. We will see how it plays out. My hope is Lawrence and Barham end up being good pass rushers and Gary peaks and it ends up good, but it’s always a risk no matter the players.Upside and sure thing are entirely different matters. Disagree that S is less impactful. That was an idea that got thrown out there and people started agreeing w/ it. The most important positions on D are up the middle: DT/MLB/S.
Absolutely. However, if you can't cover it doesn't matter. And if you can't collapse the pocket, the QB can simply step up and avoid the edge rusher. CB play is irrelevant if your S's suck.Eh, I think having someone who can regularly put pressure on the QB helps the backend more than having a good S while having zero rush…..longer the QB has the less effective a great safety or corner becomes. I agree and I also think Lawrence, Eze ,Gary and Barham are going to ball out and help Quinnen and Clark dominate in the front seven . LT Overton is going to surprise as well especially in run support.Has anybody stopped to consider that Christian Parkers defense all but eliminates the need for dominant edges?
Multiple alignments, two high shells and simulated pressure is the key to this.
Something this year just feels different.....I agree and I also think Lawrence, Eze ,Gary and Barham are going to ball out and help Quinnen and Clark dominate in the front seven . LT Overton is going to surprise as well especially in run support.
