About as elusive as Witten in his later years. Good size. Good seam runner. I saw one play where he wasn't tackled by the first/closest guy there. I have no idea how he blocks, but he is Stultz/Jarwin from the highlights.

When I see Mckeon who can catch the ball and a guy like Eubanks who I liked in Pre season I’m not convinced you have to spend anywhere near a 1-5 on a TE. I like Schultz a lot for the right price but a cap is a cap . Give me Gregory Gallup and Kearse back for next year and Hooker that’s 4 players I want back.

Maybe a TE rounds 5-7 if Schultz ends up in KC or say Cincy. Evan Engram is a FA swap him out maybe with much better QB throwing to him he comes to Dallas cheaper then Schultz. Think he’s a FA too .

Yeah, Kolar is a nice prospect that may be available in the mid-rounds. I also like Jake Ferguson from Wisconsin.

If we are trying to mange our cap I think we have to let Schultz walk. I don’t think what he brings to the passing game would be hard to replace with a mid-round TE. His blocking and decision making is a negative that has to be fixed.

He’s a “pretty good” player that’s likely going to be paid a premium contract his play/ability doesn’t justify.

I'd love an impact lineman either side, not sure how possible that is where we are drafting. If TE is the strength of the draft, then likely a starting type there at the end of round one. My logic is the TE we have now is a liability in the run game but more importantly the QB we have for at least three more years appears to need all the help he can get. Not ideal but I wont spend much time griping about a TE drafted high if the draft board says it should be the pick.
