A Stat That Will Make You Cringe...

After all of this talk by Parcells about needing 11 wins to take the division, I decided to see how many times in the past 10 seasons that the Cowboys have won 4 straight games during the 'regular season'.

I came up with this wonderful stat:

Year Consecutive Wins

1995 - 4 (twice)
1996 - 4
1998 - 4
2003 - 5

This team has lost 5 game by a total of 20 points. A bounce here and there in the last four weeks and we win four in a row. Boom!

This team has a GOOD defense. not a defense that looks good on paper, but a defense that shows up. Dont worry, we go 3-1 to close the year, and we make the playoffs.

The fate of our team is determinded by our line play. That isn't a big secret. Can they carry us to 11 wins? Probably not. Then again, I don't think it will take 11 wins to get us in the playoffs.

Vegas wouldn't give us decent odds of going 4-0. Anything can happen, but this won't happen. I'll bet the odds are at least 50-1 or worse.

I'll be thrilled if we win 3 more games and finish 10-6. If I had to bet my house on it, I'd bet 2-2, finishing 9-7.

11-5 is NOT going to happen...that's not negative thinking...it's just realistic thinking while looking at our schedule and home/away situation.
