A terrible tragedy has struck my home Province of Nova Scotia, Canada. Evil has shown it's face and taken much of the innocence we as a people have enjoyed forever. A madman conducted a murderous rampage across a swath of Nova Scotia taking so many beautiful Mothers, Fathers , daughters , sons , husbands ...and so on. It sickens me to have to write this .but I thought I would release anger and sadness and ultimately love and show each and every one of you what Nova Scotia really is and not an image in your minds eye of some far away place of darkness .
I'd like you to take a minute here and watch this video by one of our own fplk singers singing a song about my home as only she can do. I hope you can get a glimpse of what my home is really like. My wifes parent grew up and summered on the very road this happened but weren't there at the time.. It hits close to our hearts . Love your family with all your might.

I don't think Nova Scotia was ever thought of as a dark place by anyone, my friend. I can't think of anyone who's ever had anything bad to say about Canada at all, with any bit of seriousness. It seems like a beautiful country with incredibly friendly people. One madman isn't going to change that.

Thanks so much Lukin. A lot of innocence was lost over the last few days. Its hard to put into words how much we love Nova Scotia and our people.This is crushing. Im sure we will all come together to cope. I do know as Canadians we will all come together. Thank you again. Peace and love to you all

Sadly the death toll has risen to 23 and it may rise yet again. There are 16 crime scenes, stretching 90 kms...

Great video. Always wanted to visit as it seemed like a beautiful place and someday I still want to. Was sad to hear about what happened. It doesn't tarnish or change my opinion at all.

I can relate to your story. I live in the same city that BTK did. In fact, he lived just 4 miles from me. He was in no way a representative of this city or the fine people that live here.

So don't let let this incident think this one thing changes peoples opinions because that just isn't true. There have been a lot of tragic things that have happened all over. Doesn't mean anything because some mad man decides it's time to go crazy.
