Dont give Clay Guida a title shot. I dont get the hype w/ this guy. If it wasnt for his hair flying around he wouldnt seem so hectic. He really isnt a fun fighter to watch. I wanted so see Pettis showcase himself

I do want to see Matt Mitrione get something pretty big coming up soon.

Rampage didnt look great, but of the bunch Id most like to see him VS Bones Jones

I agree with Rampage. I'm a big fan and I can't wait for a fight between him and Jones. Though I suspect that Jones will definately take that fight.

As for Clay I couldn't disagree with you more. The guy is all energy, always pushing the pace, does a great job of controling people and running his gameplans.

He's very exciting, at least to me, to watch. He's been in some darn nice wars and I love how the guy will always keep coming and you can't seem to slow him down or finish him. I love that.

Unless Evans loses his next fight he should go ahead of Rampage, he was supposed to fight Shogun but was replaced by Jones when he got hurt training

I like his chin and toughness but that last fight was a snoozer. I think he just wanted to lock up the W and move on. Didnt give the young kid a chance to throw anything and it was lame. I know Dana feels strongly about not fighting like that

I thought he was still out but he did beat Rampage so you may be right.

Maybe let him rest up and he gets the winner of Rampage/Bones?

And they probably would if he hadn't blown his knee out, tearing his ACL, just a few short months ago.

It's likely going to be the end of the year, start of next year, before he's ready to go so why would they put Jon Jones on the shelf that long to wait on Rashad?

Makes more sense to have him fight Rampage. Especially if Rampage some how found a way to win?

Just think of the draw that Evans fighting Rampage again, but this time for the title, would bring. That would be awesome.

Ahhh, yeah I get what you're saying about Clay there. I can see that too. I can see how some people don't like that and I understand it.

As with GSP I just always find it amazing, and sort of awe inspiring, that they're able to take folks down and pretty much pound on them and impose their will and there is really nothing their opponents are able to do to stop it or counter it.

And I agree, obviously, with what you say about Rashad getting the winner. That would be a big deal, either way, but especially if it would be Evans vs. Rampage II.

That, and they should ride Bones Jones while hes hot. Keep the momentum going

I can respect all facets of a fight, I just thought that holding on and shoulder rubbing move he was doing was so lame. Dana was more entertained getting in a twitter war than the fight lol

And looks like Jim Miller is the #1 contender which I can dig. Not sexy but the resume is there

Yeah Miller is a nice #1. I have no problems with that.

And I agree about riding Jones while he's hot. You don't want to have that fighter sitting on the shelf for an excess amount of time just to give Rashad the next title shot.

Besides that if Rashad is smart he'll want a tune up fight (not that there are any but you get what I'm saying) prior to fighting for the title because Cage rust is very real. It's been seen many of times and having been out as long as he'll have been out, by that time, along with the time since his last fight prior to that added on...yeah he might not want to step right into the cage with Jones, or Rampage if he happened to win for that matter.

He's scheduled for a fight in August

Love Clay Guida.

Wish more fighters had half the energy, stamina and heart as he did.

I don't care if he is not a big striker and it is not his job to go in to let some new guy in the UFC showcase himself...it is his job to win the fight and he did in dominating fashion.

Wow. I hadn't realised that. Whose he fighting?

And that just seems insanely too quickly for a guy coming off an ACL tear. He's likely going to look very bad in the fight, unless he's lucked out and they've given him a complete push over.

He was rescheduled to Phil Davis almost immediately after Jon Jones got 'hurt'.

Too big a step-up for Davis in competition. Unless Phil is able to make Rashad from against the cage, cut the cage off and consistently press him, it will likely be a snoozer. Rashad is too technical, too fast and too nimble for Phil.

Have said for a while Phil needs to go to AKA, Roofus, ATT .. somewhere that will make him over as a striker. Too much athleticism and skill in Phil Davis to be as bad technically striking as he is.

I still wonder how much truth their was in the stories that Rashad would absolutely tool Jon Jones when they wrestled/grappled while at Jackson's. Would explain why Jones was healthy, then out for a while, then suddenly only out for a little while.

I'm curious about how quick and nimble Rashad will be though, this quickly, after tearing up his knee and having surgery on it.

I'm honestly very shocked to see him getting a fight this early after tearing up an ACL.

I got Dos Santos tonight as well Marion.

I'm not sure about the Florian fight as I'm really very back and forth on that guy. I can't decide if I really like him or not.

Rashad didn't tear his ACL though. He only had an MCL strain.

Man Carwin cant last long can he? Even w/ the weight cut.

Dos Santos/Cain will be great. And if they have that fight in the fall Im guessing Brock gets the winner in early 2012
