Roger was a 10th round pick but only cuz teams knew he wasn't gonna be able to play for another 5 years. It wasn't a "Lucky" pick. If he didn't have his Navy committment he would of been a first round pick.

One of these is not like the others: Donovan's on the downside now, but the Eagles got their money's worth out of him over the years (despite never quite winning the big one).

Thats always amazed me. How short sighted was the NFL. Including us. Roger was a dominate college player, heisman trophy winner.
How was he not picked in the first few rounds? I wouldnt have waited longer than round 4.
Was their a concern he might never play?

It was a very lucky pick for us that he was there in the 10th and we got him and that he spent several of his summer vacations in camp with the Boys.

I always equate Romo with the CB Larry Brown in my mind. Or Bill Bates. Sometimes Dallas just gets lucky.
