A win is a win

Did we look great on offense yesterday ? No, but too many times in past seasons, our offense has been hot early and fizzled out late. I am hoping, that by December/January, the offense has caught up to our defense, and we're hitting on all 4 aspects of the game offense,defense,special teams, and in game coaching. So, I will take these ugly wins, and be happy.

Agreed. I'm not upset today, but I also have zero issues discussing areas that could use improvement. Mid season last year we were trying to convince ourselves that the offense wasn't that bad and would get right come playoff time. I fell for it last season. This year I need to see more before I'm truly comfortable though.

Overall this team is 5-2, set up excellently for a playoff spot, and as long as you get in anything can happen. The sky isn't exactly falling on us, but as Cowboy fans we are all a little scarred from optimism past.

Well to be fair, Mike Evans did have one of the worst drops ever while being the most wide open in the NFL this season! (they actually have that as a stat now) Wow - if Brady could Monday morning QB his decision to come back for another year and lose his family..........

What are you just said is the only thing that’s giving me some hope for this season. The fact that we’re winning despite not playing our best football offensively gives me some hope that as the season goes on we can get better. As you mentioned in the past we’re usually rolling offensively this time of year, only to sputter out by December and January. The key to playoff success is peaking at the right time and we haven’t peaked. Last season we had already hit our stride after the first seven games and began to regress.

Good point -- many folks here get all bent out of shape because of an ugly win. They should be happy, instead. Back in the day when the 'Boys were winning SBs, nobody minded. Now, it's become something of a problem. Crazy how times have changed so radically.
