FINAL REGULAR SEASON STOCK REPORT
http://www.jbscouting.com/index.php/blog/1428-final-regular-season-stock-report

Here is our look at those whose stock rose and dropped the most during the season as we begin to enter the postseason.

STOCKING RISING

WR Edmund Gates, Abilene Christian- Gates really improved his blocking, route running, and has shown great speed (4.40E) this season as he earned first-team All-Lonestar Conference honors and was among the most dominant receivers in all of Division II. His senior season has seen his stock rise from a borderline draft pick to a solid 3rd-4th round projection by most.

FS Tommy Irvin, Wofford- Irvin entered the season as a fringe prospect but had a strong year earning All-SoCon honors and was by far the fastest player on Wofford’s defense. He is active against the run and has good closing speed. His senior campaign have improved his stock from a fringe prospect to a solid priority free agent who might earn a few late round grades from teams.

CB Korey Lindsey, Southern Illinois- Lindsey entered the season considered a borderline draft pick by scouts but we liked him much more and now he has scouts considering him to be as good as we did. In fact we have upgraded him from our preseason grade despite just one interception on the season as he shut down opponents. If Lindsey runs in the 4.4s he could potentially move up from a borderline draft pick to a 3rd round selection and should go no later than the early 5th round.

CB Ryan Jones, Northwest Missouri State- Jones could really move up boards if he runs in the 4.3s, which some think he could, after a dominant season in which he earned MIAA Defensive Player of he Year honors. He was a mid level priority free agent entering the season but is now a solid 6th-7th round projection.

TE Julius Thomas, Portland State- Thomas was a fringe prospect entering the season but earned first-team All-Big Sky honors showing great receiving skills and has really attracted heavy attention because of his size as well. Thomas is a legit priority free agent with a shot to go in the late rounds possibly.
