I have a vacation time in late Feb/early Mar, and was looking to try an adventure/overnight hike somewhere. Never done this before (grew up in a why walk when you can drive? type of home.).

Has anyone ever done this, know of where to do this or have any tips? Thanks.
 
Yeaaa, I'm w/ Kanga... I have, they just called it "forced march"!!!

I recommend adventure hiking in the backwoods of Kentucky . . .

Heres a book that should give you plenty of information about it . . .

Arkansas has many good hiking areas...

I like going to Petit Jean State park myself... but there are plenty to chose from in Arkansas...
