Been a marvel fan since 1976.....X-men is my all time favoritie...even named my biological son after Professor Xavier.....I know they killed him many times before but some how this seems like it. I'm super sad

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Fifty years after Charles Xavier banded his first class of mutants together as the X-Men, the telepath- turned-team builder has been killed by one of them.

The erstwhile teacher, who trained mutants in Marvel Entertainment's X-Men comics through the years, was felled in the latest issue of "Avengers vs. X-Men" by none other than Scott Summers.

He will be back within 2 years.

Or he just made everybody see him as dead as a way of stopping Cyclops.

Nothing is ever really final in comics, AVX has been great though.

There used to be a saying that no one in the comic world stays dead except for Uncle Ben and Bucky. They even brought Bucky back.

I have never really followed these so I wasn't even aware that they had a comic series of The Avengers vs. the X-Men.

Are these comics about those two hero factions battling one another? I wasn't aware they had good guys fighting good guys but then I was never really into many comics other than Batman.
