After week 1 - Where did you see this season going?

After that dismal performance in the home opener and hearing the news that Dak would be out anywhere from 5 to 8 weeks, I thought the season was literally over.

But here we are after week 6 and a disappointing loss against a divisional rival sitting at 4-2.

Still a lot of football left and hopefully 2 easy wins before the bye week.

Dak should be back.

James Washington should be back soon (I'm assuming it's about time).

Damone Clark may be activated from the IR soon.

That's how I look at it!

If you would have told me after 6 weeks the Cowboys would have been 3 -3 I would have gladly taken it.

The fact they are 4-2 is better than I expected after Dak was injured.

Do not get me wrong, I wish they would have won tonight, but given the reality the Cowboys were facing after losing the first game, I will still take it.

None of us thought Dallas would have the 4th best record in the NFC with Rush at QB and Tyron Smith going down, so it is hard to be anything but happy right now.

The run game appears to be legit and the defense is good, so let's see what Dak can bring to the offense.

I will say I am a bit worried about the WR position, the lack of speed and separation seems to be an issue. Gallup, Brown, Lamb, and Washington (when he returns) are all really similar players, they could use someone a bit more shifty who can threaten defenses deep.

I 100% thought the season was over after week 1 so I'll gladly take a 4-2 record and getting our starting QB back next week, we're in a good spot and the NFC is wide open this year. Losing to those turds sucks but with a full team we can beat them, they didn't impress me at all.

Don't want to sound cynical. Maybe this loss was right, given in relevance of time.

Now the pressure is off. Dallas can focus back on getting better. I think what matters most, is what team gets hot towards end of season.

Thats what we want. Maybe some of these hot teams are peaking now.

I thought the season was over. I truly thought maybe 1 win but expected to be 0-6. So being 4-2 is a relief because there's still a lot of football left. But if you would have told me we'd be 4-2 after the Tampa Bay game I would have laughed. Tonight is disappointing but we'll be okay. With the injuries we've had and being at 4-2 is a successful start to the season. We'll be fine.

Right. I agree, I'd rather peak at the end of the year and into the playoffs then in September and October. Last season we peaked in October and that didn't work out well for us. I feel the Eagles are peaking now and will fade. I also feel this loss was good for us in a weird way because now the "debate" of Rush vs Dak is over. Rush did his job and kept us competitive, he's the unsung hero of this season, but we will be better with Dak. You're right the pressure is off us, the debate is over and we have 2 winnable games coming up regardless who is playing QB. Then we can heal up in the bye week and peak in December and January. We'll be alright. Disappointing tonight but we're alright.

I honestly had no expectations. I was ready for the season to be over. I'll admit it.

Before the season I thought we would be 3-3 beating the NFCE teams and losing the rest. After week1, I thought we would be 2-4 beating the Giants and the Commodes.
