I agree with Aikman. If teams take away CeeDee, who is going to step up in the passing game? Don't tell me Noah Brown is so much more improved over the FIVE previous years he played in Dallas. He is still the Noah Brown we've seen, only now Jerry is trying to convince us he is a top receiver ready for a breakout season.

Pollard, Schultz and Zeke are the three guys that the offense will hinge on.

I'm not a fan of the Sunday/Monday night games anymore, maybe I'm just getting old. Maybe that will change whenever I retire...lol

It is a concern, because you know Lamb is either gonna always draw the top cover guy or will get the double team. He has to show he can beat it. It is promising that Gallup is starting to practice but I would guess at the earliest he will be back for week 3. Pollard and Turpin are pretty much the unknowns in the passing game. Brown's ceiling is probably about Gallup's floor.

They will not mount many comebacks relying on RBs and TEs. They better not fall behind very far.

If you are a good DC, I am slanting a S over the top of Lamb and make someone not named Lamb beat me.

Piggybacking with article of quotes I guess Troy is a hater too
https://www.yahoo.com/sports/worries-valid-troy-aikman-says-192553540.html

“I don’t feel this team is as good as it was a year ago,” the three-time Super Bowl champ said Thursday of his former club during a call-in with The Ticket KTCK 96.7 FM/1310 AM. “It doesn’t mean that they’re not talented enough to go on and do all the things that they want to do, because I think that they are. I think they’re one of those teams that, as you look at the landscape of the NFL and certainly the NFC, you feel the Cowboys have as good a chance as any of them. So we’ll see how it goes.”

“I think the worries are valid. I think the questions are valid,” Aikman said, despite the unfailingly positive we-like-our-guys talk coming from inside the building. “The Cowboys, whether you’re talking to Dak or anybody in the organization, they’re always going to say, ‘We feel good about it. We like our team. We feel we’re better than we were a year ago.’ There’s 32 teams that feel they’re better than they were a year ago, but not everybody is going to be better. Teams are going to be worse. There’s teams that really don’t have much of a chance at all that are talking like they can contend to be in the Super Bowl. So I understand that part of it, but yet, there’s also the reality of it: that maybe they’re not. Maybe they look at their team and they have seen what they have out at the practice field and they say, ‘Hey, we feel like we’re in really good shape.’ Maybe on the other hand, there’s some real concern. I think Dak is maybe sitting there thinking, ‘Hey, we’re not quite as good as we were a year ago or we are short-handed here in the early part of the season.”

That is a huge concern. If I am a defense, I am doubling Ceedee and seeing if Dallas has anyone else who can make big plays in the passing game. Plus, we are a high penalty team so if we make Dallas put together 10 plus play drives there is a good chance we shoot ourselves in the foot somewhere along the way.

MNF, Cowboys @ Giants will be an interesting game. The home team will need to win that one because they will suffer a beatdown on Thanksgiving Day.

During the bye Jerry will trade another 1st round pick for a receiver to help the quarterback.

I can taste it.

Troy Aikman was asked on Sportsradio 96.7 & 1310 The Ticket whether or not concerns about the Dallas Cowboys offense entering the season are fair.

He said that they definitely are for now, but obviously games have yet to be played.

Troys quotes in caption in pic or open link.
