Looks like Troy has been tossed to the curb.

Why in the world do they build these lavish houses on barely any land? If I'm spending that much money on a place, I want some space around it.

For that price you can find much better, their probably trying to get more on the aikman name.

There is no house in Dallas worth $24M. A house by itself isn't worth that much, it's usually land that really raises the value and well, in Texas land value is minimal.

In Greenwich, CT $24M will buy you a bigger house with more than 1.45 acres on the water. (Long Island Sound) Troy must have gotten absolutely robbed when he bought that house.

was listed at 27 mil, next most expensive in the area is 16 mil.

It's nice, but 24 million?! Where is this?

Highland Park

Several years ago, any of us could have gotten a subprime loan to cover the $24 million. :)

No money for downpayment? No problem. No job? No problem. Just sign here and the keys are yours.

I am very familiar with the area. No way is that house worth 24 mill. I don't think its worth half that.

That house must be located on a small oil field. :)

The way it is described, I would think it would cost about 5-6 million in Preston Hollow, maybe 2-3 million in an "expensive" suburb, or maybe 1 million or so further out in boonies.

In any case...whoa. Pimpin'

You obviously haven't driven around Highland Park. ....or even the Turtle Creek area.

24 mil  Did he leave his superbowl rings behind?

Some of it is no doubt celebrity-driven. A non-famous owner would probably ask for half that.

The current listings on Zillow and Yahoo realty search for the Dallas Area (including Highland Park, University Park and Preston Hollow) is $16 million.

Some of them have similar square feet and land...some have more.
