The Tankster got paid and it shows. He's now getting double teamed each snap so why can't he get it done anymore? He has turned into a MAJOR bust!

If DLaw is a bust, why is he getting double teamed?

If they move the double teams to Aldon Smith, look for DLaw to get more.

Not a bad thought, actually. It should help even more when Randy Gregory joins the team next month!

Additionally, it takes a whole lot of time for a torn labrum shoulder to heal sufficiently. I know, I had one.

Playing DE puts an awful lot of stress on a player's shoulder to get those big o-linemen out of their way.

Amazing comeback for Aldon.

Has to be comeback player of the year.

Will they give it to a player that was gone due to self inflicted harm?

I know we don't have these types of situations pop up often, but I would be surprised if they did honestly.

I should read what I posted before I posted it. What I meant to say was that the Tankster isn't getting doubled team every snap, therefore why can't he get home? That's why I think he's a MAJOR bust!

"Now" getting double teamed ?

Sorry but i read this crap since he was drafted. Uh guy gets double teamed he needs someone good on the other side.

Now he has a good player oposite of him for the second year and both of them have great success its the same rubbish again.

When you look at the film dlaw does not get double teamed a lot. If he gets double teamed its bot by 2 lineman - which when you talk about great players is usually the way to do it. No dlaw gets primarily blocked by a td and a rb is helping out. In these situations dlaw is a non-factor. He is also neutralized by most tackles 1:1. The only "good" plays he has is when he is blocked by only a te.

The guy sucks. And he sucked from.day one. He had essentially 8 good games for us and thats it. After that and before that he was either hurt or a no show on the field. It has nothing to do with double teams.

He is getting good pressure though, plus I think the biggest problem is how much they are putting him into that two point standup stance and it really takes away from his strengths. They did a lot less of it in the Seattle game and they had four sacks. I think it will get better as the defense learns the new scheme.

yep... even after sitting out 4 years,.. he has such innate natural ability and agility and knack for getting to the QB then add those
octopus long and strong arms and added bulked to 280 lbs ...and Aldon also shows up vs run as well.

but he does need to be relieved and spelled more so he doesn't run out of gas, at the end of games -such as Seattle last 2 drives
With Griffin (and me frankly rookie Bradley Anae) we should have been giving Aldon more breathers and relief to stretch him
out more,.. but Griffin hasn't been as productive as expected, and rookie Anae hasn't hit the field on defense.

And Dlaw ? ..... been disappointing from performance to unfortunate injury.

Amazing comeback for Aldon.

Sadly....3 games into this...I got a feeling he was already starting to hit a wall (physically) No way he was expecting to be going 60+ snaps a game.....Plus...he's starting to figure out nobody else gives a crap...so why should I?

Won't shock me as soon as we are out of playoff contention...he hangs them back up.....and not want any part of this mess.

Huh? Nothing he has done to date indicates he will do as you say and "hangs them back up." Sorry, but that's just a dumb thing to say!

"Hur hur hur, Smith has been out of the league 5 years, no way he can still play!"

I guess Tank is making it easier for him to get those sacks right?

He did help on two of them, making Wilson have to step up where Smith was able to push the left tackle back and get Wilson.

We can be disappointed with Lawrence for his lack of sacks, but let's not pretend that he doesn't have an effect.

I'm impressed. Pretty incredible story for him to get his head on right, come back after sitting out for all those years, and then play at this level. Even if he does slow down, it's pretty impressive he shot out the gate like he has. Can we lock this guy up?
