So who is Mr. Monday Night Football when it comes to RBs?

Of course, it's the undisputed G.O.A.T. Emmitt Smith by a long shot.

Emmitt has the MNF record for Attempts, Yards, TDs, and Yards Per Game. A near clean sweep.

Tony Dorsett is in 2nd place for yards, so Cowboys players hold the top 2 yards spots.

The only semi-recent player on the list is Frank Gore.

It doesn't look like there's anyone on the radar today that is a threat to any of Emmitt's records whether it be MNF, the regular season, or the playoffs.

I would doubt it. Back then, Sunday night games were relatively weak in general (think Thu/Mon games of today). Usually, they would only play on that once a year. Players today may get 3 times on Sunday night in a season.

Emmitt holds a lot of records I doubt will ever be broken without a glacial shift in how the game is played. 50 years from now people are going to look at his 18000 rushing yards and wonder how the hell he ever did that..

That is nothing special. There are a lot of players that habe 20+ games. Marcus allen has 27. Still he has 1k rushing yds less then emmit.

Most players habe also the same yds/carry. But when you looks at the attemts of other players per game you will see emmit has a lot more.

I think its because of the Cowboys dominance in the 90s and their commitment to the run.

Yep. Marcus Allen was a damn fine RB, and for Emmitt to do that much better shows how great Emmitt really was.
