I'm supposed to go to a wedding there this summer. This looks in the way of nowhere. Anyone been here before? I'm almost expecting zombie attacks.

Alpine is a very pleasant0 place to be in the summer in Texas because it is usually delightfully cool due to its ground elevation above mean sea level. Not being a huge traffic-congested metropolis is another advantage (population 6,100). It's a great place to take a break from the heat.
