patrick crayton was allowed to run amuck all year. I am someone who did not embrace Parcells ways....but Crayton should have had a cork stuck in his mouth after his comments against the Pats. We do not talk chi* after getting our arse kicked at home. But his hole ran all year. We were a heavily penalized team all year. We were a team bad on covering punts/kicks all year. That is a sign of a team with no leader. Everyone is too afraid to step on anyones toes. We knew when we hired Wade that was not his MO....he said himself he lets the players act like men. But tat means someone has to be the Ray Lewis in the locker room. Jerry has written a ton of checks..and seemingly NOBODY wants to be the team Rodney Harrison or the team Micheal Irvin. This has to change if we are ever going to get over the hump. Ware has the skills and the accolades to be the guy. Newman has the skills to be that guy. Witten has the skills to be that guy. Leonard has the size, contract and skills to be that guy. This is the downside of having so many character guys who went to small schools or were late round picks or who were even undrafted or who came via free agency. They are afraid to ruffle some feathers...or they are just happy to be in the NFL. But since the coach has never done it...we do not want the owner doing it...the players HAVE to do it.
