Anatomy of a prospect: Mississippi DT Peria Jerry

Peria Jerry has the commodity every NFL covets -- he's a pass-rushing defensive tackle.
He isn't the 320-pound run stuffer favored by some NFL teams. He played at 290 last season but bulked up to 299 for NFL teams at the scouting combine in March. He doesn't play the game at the line of scrimmage. A master of penetration, he plays the game in the backfield of the opponent. Jerry led the SEC with 18 tackles for 80 yards in losses last season and ranked among the national leaders in sacks by a tackle with seven.
Jerry is relentless. One NFL coach told me he throws his body around more than any big man he's ever seen. He also could be a fit at end in a 3-4 scheme. He'll be a first-round draft choice.
