another 53 man roster thread, need some help

Hey guys, I am one of those that loves the cut downs and i am more interested in the bottom of the 53 man roster then the average fan. i have players that i like that get cut every year. This year its Nate Jones...i think......

But tell me what you think of this 53 man roster (which is at 55) who would get cut (2 cuts to be made in this scenario)

I don't see Bowen making the team. Ratliff can/will play DE and NG.

Also, I don't see us keeping 6 safeties. Brown will be cut.

you are prolly right on both accounts which would mat this list at 53.....but damn, i though this Brown kid had some potential, if he does i sure hope he gets to that PS.
 
I think they keep Brown over Stanback.

With all the problems at corner...I don't see them keeping 6 WR's.

We won't keep Bowen and Ayodele...there's one.

We might not keep Procter and Berger...I'd go with Berger, so there is two.

I don't see Ball making the team, he's been far worse than Reeves, Jones or Thomas...So I'd scratch Ball and add Thomas and Butler.

Brown has done zip, and loses his spot to Butler.
 
I don't think Ball has shown enough so goes to PS; Brown has a lot of talent but his inability attend OTAs & a minicamp (not allowed to attend until his class graduated) led him to miss too much so he also goes to PS.

I think DL will be battle between Bowen & Ayodele to see who makes final roster.

Also have doubt that we will keep 10 OL so Berger probably doesn't make it.

Since I've cited 3 positions where certain players may not make it, one of them probably wins out over the over 2 but which one?
 
Off of your scenerio, I don't see Remi Ayodele or Joe Berger making the final cut.

I can see Ellis going on the PUP list for six weeks which will either give Saldi, Long or Blair a chance to make the team or go with 7 corners. We are going to showcase Keith Davis, Elam, and Nate Jones tonight at safety and the bet is one or two will be traded.

I think our DC likes Joey Thomas and Quincy Butler and Alan Ball more than people think.

Brown will go to the PS as will Matt Moore and a few others.

I think Keith Davis is valuable both to backup Roy and ST but I think New Orleans is going to offer a 3rd for him come Friday and Jerry will take that.
 
Ellis is not eligible for the PUP list since he participated (even though it was less than an hour) in the first team practice. I think that's a stupid rule, but it still exists. He either makes the 53 man roster, IR for the year, or is cut/traded. No other options.
 
I think that Wade in a recent press conference was trying to make the case to a reporter's question that Ellis did not practice. According to Wade he was on the sidelines doing rehab with the trainer and other player(s) rehabing. I don't know if what he said will fly with the NFL practice police.
 
Don't know, but I've heard for the past month or so that Ellis practiced for about 1/2 hour of the first training camp practice. Personally, I think the rule should be that a player coming off a serious injury should be allowed to attempt to practice on the first day of training camp without it hindering the team's ability to put him on the PUP. That would allow a team the chance to see if the player is ready or not. I don't see how that would give any team an advantage over another. One day? It wouldn't make a bit of a difference. But, as the rule stands right now, if they practice at all, they're not eligible for the PUP.

Oh well, he DID look like crap returning punts. First chance tonight? 96 yard TD. Ooops, the Minnesota staff threw a challenge flag.
