Another Blowout Loss Would Have Been Better Going Forward

This "comeback" is only going to make some people that should be fired already look competent.

The post game went from "wow, we're disappointed that this keeps happening. This will stop" to "We put up and good fight and didn't quit! I'm proud of the people in that locker".

A game that went from a blowout to a close loss is still a loss. They're still 1-2 after the game.

The difference now is it makes people that shouldn't look better look better.

Correct. Close losses will not result in the change the boys need. Of course the big change needed is in the leadership and untill Darth sidious is no more there is very little hope that happens.

So if the defense got the stop at the end and the offense probably would have needed just one first down to get Aubrey in range to tie the game, that would have been a bad thing?

Interesting take.

Wish we would’ve gotten blown out 7000-3 just so I could hear Jerry go on a drunk tirade on the Dallas radio. But he‘ll be senile for another week and say “we were so close, closer than the camel to water in a Chinese zoo. We will get there. It’s a week by week league. I like our guys. Yacht talk. 8000$ liquor gulp. Sign off.”

I'm ok if they build on the last quarter and have a great game against the giants and start improving - they did some things better in the 2nd half...

What will be overlooked is the fact that the offense was basically no better than a high school offense for the better part of 50 minutes until the Ravens took their foot off the gas. That's what most will forget because they were lucky enough, with a LOT of help from the refs, to close the gap to a more respectable final score.

I agree. But here's the bottom like, at least in my opinion.

If this team doesn't get to the NFC championship game, this whole coaching staff is gone. And this team will be lucky to make the playoffs l.

After paying Dak and cedee, you cant really blow the whole thing up and start over.

The big question going forward is if this season falls apart, does Jerry hand out more bags of money to the guys that are in line for contracts? Parsons, Ferguson, Aubrey. Other than those, I can't really think of any that would be upsetting to lose

Ultimately its a 1-2 record either way. Honestly after watching the Giants today its a winnable game, but not the gimme many think it is.
