Any Opinions on Parsons Changing?

Prior to the Cowboys spiraling in a downward trajectory, there were always spirited opinions on moving on from Micah for draft picks.

So, given the current environment, do those that stood firm on the idea of trading your best defensive player as lunacy still hold the same stance, or has the apparent lack of talent at multiple positions swayed you to the other side? And do those that saw him as a podcasting problem child that fades down the stretch push the “trade his ***” agenda ever harder, or perhaps you have flipped and view the absence of one of the league’s best pass rushers as a big part of the defenses undoing?

Player evaluation is a year-round business, but it should be in hyper-drive in Dallas. Should be an interesting time to be a Cowboy fan as decisions on key vets and potential big money players are looming while the writing on the wall is becoming clear to even the blind – the Jones’ (well…maybe not with them but take a leap of faith). With trending toward high draft capital, do you sweeten the off-season pot by garnering more picks (while saving $$$$) by dangling Parsons in front of the league?

There will be a new coaching staff and quite frankly there are holes to fill on this squad. It may be the opportune time for a mild roster gutting and the hitting of a soft team Reset. I couldn't say hard Reset as there are some good pieces here and the QB, like it or not, is set for a few years.

i still think it's lunacy, but also recognize the position we're in.

I'd trade Micah because I don't believe he's here for the long haul. He seems like a guy to retire in what should be in his prime. Now I don't give him away. This is contingent on getting a solid pick for him. Two 1st rounders is the floor.

If I am Parsons I would want to go somewhere to get paid and also get a ring. Someone will pay him his money who is not in Cap prison that is a contender. Maybe Atlanta?

Doesn't change my opinion. Not one bit.

If I'm the Cowboys, I'm calling Detroit and asking for a boatload of picks for him.

Considering where Detroit will be drafting the next few years, yeah a boatload.

Every team in the league values “high draft capital” and “saving $$$$”. Good teams don’t need him and won’t give anything for him. Bad teams are in the same circumstances the Cowboys are. They’re not giving up anything for him. Micah Parsons is a Cowboys “lifer”.

He is not a QB. I don't see anyone giving two number 1s. Maybe a number 1, a Number 2 and a player.

It doesn’t matter if he stays or goes, the base problems with this team will remain. Even if he is traded, I don’t trust this braintrust to use the picks wisely.

I get that this is the place to discuss Cowboys football, or more like the circus act it’s become, but certain things aren’t even worth the time.

Parsons being traded is slightly behind Jerry selling the team as far as likelihood.
