Have a question for you guys. I have a Fed Ex Couier interview coming up in a week and I have been thinking on what I should do. I use to work for Fed Ex back in 2000-2002 as a courier. Since then I have had a couple of other delivery type jobs, then my current job of 4 years which is in sales. Ok heres my question. I have been talking with some of the UPS drivers and they say to apply as a seasonal delivery driver after labor day and if I prove myself I have a chance to become a full time driver. I would love to do this since UPS pays really well with good benefits, but I am a little nervous about the whole seasonal/temp type thing. On the other hand, Fed Ex doesn't require being a package handler first or working as a seasonal driver to be hired on, but they have you work part time for a year then will move you on to full time. Fed Ex also doesn't pay as well as UPS but has just as good of benefits.

Don't know what to do, go through the Fed Ex interview process and if I am offered a job take it, or wait till UPS hires seasonal drivers and try this route instead, knowing Fed Ex hires Couiers on a pretty regular basis but UPS does not. What do you guys think?

That was me. I didn't want to wait out in the rain for you to come to the door.

Those ....ing retards did that with a package my daughter sent from Iraq. Just happened to have all her medals, certificates and other paperwork from the Air Force. I was home, my wife was home and my other 3 kids were at home. Two trucks and a car in the driveway and the ....... didn't ring the doorbell or knock.

The only time the UPS guy didn't have me sign for a package is when he heard the 120 pitbull on the other side of the door. :laugh2:

Only when you are home :laugh2:

Back when I lived in Greenwich, you do not know how true that was! My wife use to tell me that he wouldn't freaking leave. He would just keep talking and talking to her. She got to the point where she wouldn't answer the door. Of course, if I answered the door, it was strickly business with him.

Of course, every guy on the planet is always clamouring to talk to her if I'm not around. She can't go to the freaking grocery store without every guy in the store saying Hi and trying to chat her up. Of course, they do not do that if I'm with her. If I'm with her, the nod to her, but say nothing. :laugh2:

The nod is their way of saying it's nice of you to help the homeless like that. :D
