I know he had a hamstring but has anyone heard anything on him? I was surprised Span Ford was involved as he was the other day. I thought this kid was a player.

Stephen Jones had a hamstring issue? No wonder we didn't sign D Henry! Lol

Ford is in because he is the best blocking TE on the team. His blocking is why he was ignored when he went in motion and led to a couple of receptions. With Ford and our young OL, we are going to be in great shape in the run game as they get stronger and more experienced.

I pray this team finds a blocking TE, why can't we just find one that can do it all!

From the limited amount we have seen of both, Spann-Ford is the blocking guy and Stephens is the receiving guy. Spann-Ford also has some receiving ability.

I'm not sure if Stephens is healthy yet, but assuming he isn't, if/when he is it will be interesting to see what they decide to do. Maybe have all 4 active? Also, Spann-Ford and Schoonmaker play STs and I'm not sure if Stephens does or not. All that being said, Spann-Ford only played 5 offensive snaps last week. Whether fans think they should or not, I don't think the team is ready to replace some of Schoonmakers receiving down snaps with Stephens even if he is active, so I'm not sure it matters right now if he is active or not. Personally I'd like to see him flexed out on a few receiving downs and see what he can do, especially in the red zone.

This team has a scoring TD problem currently. We need dudes that can do that. Stephens, Flournoy, anyone really.
