The show is awesome, and I don't mean disappointed as in it wasn't suspenseful or was boring.

I'm saying is anyone disappointed they knocked off Jimmy Darmody?

I was bummed.

Have not watched any of the second season. Might start over the holidays.

On a side note...Heard Camelot was cancelled...not really surprised.

Never watched that one.

I'm a Game of Thrones guy.

He tried to have Nucky killed. He couldn't just let that go.

They're really turning Nucky's character. For the most part Nucky was portrayed as sort of a Robin Hood type, but now we're seeing he's got some serious issues.

Love the depth of the characters.

Who cares? Its a TV show.

rub some dirt on it

Hold it down or I will have the bazillion reality shows shot in Alaska cancelled...wait...keep going as most of them suck.:p:

On a serious note. Have meant to ask you about this before and forget.

What is the deal with so many reality shows in Alaska lately? Seems like the last few years every time I am flipping through some of the non alphabet channels they are previewing a reality series that is taking place in Alaska.

I was surprised Jimmy was shot. I actually thought Eli was going to be the one to pay. I guess Nucky believed Eli more than Jimmy when he was trying to get to the bottom of the attempt on his life. Eli was the one that suggested killing him.

I think when it's all said and done, Eli will be killed. I can also see Dormady's hot mom taking things over too.

Its that we pay them to come here and make movies. ;)

Incentives: designed to make Alaska even more attractive!

With a base rate of 30% on above and below the line spending in Alaska and additional percentages for local hire (+10%), off-season, October to March (+2%) and shooting in a rural areas (+2%), our incentive program offers up to 44% in a transferable tax credit to encourage projects to greenlight Alaska. With up to $100 million available and a minimum spend of only $100,000, most projects can qualify.

It's a great incentive - and we've worked hard to make it easy to access. We require pre-qualification during pre-production. Simply fill out our form and provide some additional paperwork: your estimated budget (including your Alaska spend); your proposed distribution plan; and a script or treatment of your production. We'll review your project and give you an estimate of the tax credit you can expect.

Once you're pre-qualified, get an Alaska Business License and start shooting. When you're wrapped, find an Alaska-licensed CPA to verify your Alaska expenses and submit your final paperwork along with a rough-cut of the project, and we'll approve your tax credit in a matter of weeks, not months. Because Alaska's Film Industry Tax Credits are fully transferable, severable and valid for 3 years from date of issue, buyers of Alaska's tax credits are paying top dollar.

I think they may have made a mistake by killing him off, it might end up hurting ratings-wise and the reaction has been pretty bad. He was one of the more interesting/likeable characters that people empathized with, I really liked the WW1 back story too because you don't see that as much as WW2.

It might have been the edgy/artsy thing to do and it might have fit story-wise, but I think they will regret it because it removed one of the best characters/actors from the show.

I don't watch a lot of other shows regularly, but the ones I do get into I tend to get a little obsessive about, so to be honest I was bummed.

Definitely a risk for all the reasons you stated.

My wife was really shocked/bummed, but I think it was for reasons outside of the show, lol.

Boardwalk is a great show.

Although I understand why they killed Jimmy...I think it was a mistake.
