I for one hated all of the bash the Dallas Cowboys trend the media adopted the past few seasons but I grew to love it. I loved being the under dogs in every match up and I loved watching the media eat crow now that BSPN and Skippy Bayless have seen the blue and silver light it has me a bit worried. I mean I know that there are a few people in the media still bashing Dallas (keep up the good work) but right now I like the fire that is lit under these guys to prove people wrong and if everyone is jumping on the bandwagon midway into the season then they might feel like there's nothing else left to prove. I guess what I'm saying is that I don't want this Dallas Cowboys to be like last years. you know the "All I have to do is show up and the other team will cower in fear and hand mea win" With all this media love talking about a 12-4 season I mean that's nice and all but the season is far from over and as much as I would love a 12-4 season and as much as I feel that's where we'll end up I don't really want the Dallas Cowboys knowing that just yet. They have been playing with a chip on their shoulder and I want that chip to stay there throughout the regular season post season and super bowl. I may be way off base here with this but I was just curious if anyone else here might have been feeling the same way or not

I'm getting there. I too was a little bitter about all the flack and dissing the Cowboys were receiving. But then I grew to love it as well. For me anyways, it kind of served as motivation for my team on some level. Perhaps it served our players as motivation. Anyways, it was nice to watching the media squirm and eat crow.

The love from the media is slowly creeping up on us, but not as swift and widespread as in season's past. The Cowboys still have to prove they can win in December and January to exorcise the demons. A playoff win(s) is pertinent.

I think the fans are more concerned with the media than the players. The team is aware of the bashing because they are bombarded with stupid questions every day, but I don't think their on-field performance has anything to do with what the media is saying or writing. I really don't. When the Cowboys went 13-3, it had nothing to do with anyone's prediction. Neither did 9-7 last year. Whatever happens this season won't either.

I wasn't aware that we were really in the media for anything lately. It's been nice to be able to see stories on ESPN, the NFL Network, and others that are simply breaking down the X's and O's of our games instead of showing Owens on the sideline woofing with spittle coming out of his mouth.

Agreed, why can't the media leave the Cowboys alone? Just stop talking, writing about them for a couple of months.

:laugh2: Funny vision.

I love the media love... it keeps me on the treadmill longer! My Body fat has dropped under 7% thanks to the media love!

I don't understand fans anymore. Everyone complained about the media bias against us and now that we get some love they hate it.... reminds me of the witten thread about tds... everyone wanted more balance and now that our offense is spread around to everyone they complain that witten doesn't get enough tds. Is it safe to say that we as fans are more hypocritical in nature than even the media?

I thinks it's safe to say that and probably applies to fans of every team in every sport.

It's safe to say we can't be pleased :) lol

Dont worry, after our next loss we will be declared the biggest frauds in the league and everybody will start crapping on us again.

Can you imagine what would be said about us if we somehow lost to freaking Oakland on Turkey Day???

i really don't think love from the media is going to mess with the focus of the dallas cowboys players, coaching staff, and organization as a whole. have you not been watching any of the interviews done by romo, wade, crayton, anybody??

Even with all the media cheese being put out you shouldn't be concerned about the Cowboys falling for it because the "December fade" talking point gets mentioned in every single conversation,,,, every single one.

So let the Vikings and Saints worry about eating the cheese, all the Cowboy's cheese come with built-in, flashing, neon signs reminding them that December is just around the corner,,,

vikings are the kings of second season fade... atleast back when they had moss/culpepper ha
