Anyone keeping count on surgery updates?

of How Many Cowboys have had or will have operations? Ware is scheduled, Gurode already had one, Ratlif is having both elbows done. Seems like some others are supposed to as well. Makes me think we were not as healthy as some had thought.

IMO there is a difference between routine post season surgery and major stuff needs repaired due to season ending injury. We seem to have a few of the first which is normal for any team.

Ware was clearly dinged up all-year, not just down the stretch but this was well-known.

Gurode was having some issues laterally.

It was hard to tell Ratliff was having any issues as he was solid all-year. His sack numbers maybe did tail off a bit the second half but that is always a volatile statistic.

I do think we need to make a priority of getting these guys better backups so they don't have to play so many snaps and are more fresh later in the game.

Ware was clearly never 100%. Gurode also was in hindsight not healthy for a while; and I think that the elbow problems definitly affected Ratlif. Just wondering how much impact this had this year in addition to our other injuries.
