Chris Horwedel of NFL Draft Blitz passed along the information that he received an email from Jacksonville State indicating that DT Torrey Davis has hired an agent and is eligible for this year's draft. The 6-3, 290-pound Davis was a former high-profile recruit at Florida who transferred to JSU last spring for undisclosed reasons although he had academic troubles and at least two off-the-field problems during his time in Gainesville. In particular, Davis was cited for alcohol possession and driving with knowledge of a suspended license while at Florida. Davis, who was one of the nation's top recruits in 2007, had a couple of sacks in two seasons at Florida and added another three last fall with Jacksonville State.
