Anyone questioning Romo's leadership is nuts

He was on the Cowboys Huddle coaching show this week, and Mickey had a pretty long sit-down interview with him.

He went on about how the team has to get better, and how he impressed upon the team that they only have 24 more regular season practices left in the year (Wed, Thur, Fri), and, for instance, eight more Wednesday workouts, so we have to take advantage of every single one.

He also said that after these last few good wins, there's been no sense of complacency on the following Wednesday, and he and the other leaders on the team have been very encouraged by that.

Plus, once more, he added that this isn't a big ego team and everyone is just trying to do his job.

I hope theebs can put it up (no pressure, theebs! ;)), because it was a very encouraging interview for those who have doubted Tony in this area.

Yeah hang on I just saw this thread... I will upload it in about an hour.

I question his judgement when things are going bad. Obviously when things are not working well, does he realize what the defense coordinator is doing? If he is taking away options 1 (wit) and option 2 (austin). does he see this? Step 1 would be seeing this, Step 2 is making adjustments to counter that. Look at options 3 and 4 right of the bat.

I see him looking downfield for 3-5 secs waiting for the deep passes to open. hits 5-7 yards short passes and get in a rhytm when offense is not working for 1,2,3 qtrs. I don't see that from him. Not sure if it is his fault or JG

...the Cowboys are in trouble...Austin is good but he's still learning...now that he's double-teamed the onus falls on Crayton and Williams to make the difference and it's a scary thought given sunday's results...the loss of Columbo only makes things tougher for a unit that still struggles with protection and what looks like an ailing running game...

...these guys just don't know what they want to be on offense...they want to finesse when they should power and vice versa...they have no identity midway through the season...Garrett is regressing back to his shotgun ways again and the season could slip away as a result...S11 is where Dallas got the most yards against Philadelphia but it also gets your quarterback killed when you can't figure out a defensive scheme you practice against day-in , day-out...we've all been here before...this offense is in the same way as it was when Romo came back from injury last year...they'll beat up the cupcakes [usually] and fold up against the better defenses [even at home]...i fear this is all we'll ever get from the Phillips-Garrett tandem...

...there's only three guys i can think of that can run Garrett's shotgun right now...Manning, Brady or Brees...

I think he is becoming a better leader this year.

Look, it's a loss. This team was playing lights out and now they have regressed a little. I think I will still reserve my final opinion on this team when the season is over.

As far as Romo goes? Well, that is still yet to be determined this season as well. And the play calling is going to be extremely conservative with Columbo out. Many more 2 TE sets and the running that everyone is clamoring for.

We are gonna get a bunch of that now. This team is gonna have to rely on the defense a hell of a lot now. And the defense has some holes as well. We've seen this movie before, here is to hopefully a better ending than in the past.

Regardless, I still think that this season should be the last this coaching staff. But, then again. All the players are used to this scheme. I don't know, guess we will see what happens in the end.

Romo stepped into that pass and right into Jolly and got severely punished, a hit that worries you, honestly. You can't take too many of those and stay on top of your game.

No person should question this guy's heart, ever.

+1...i think Romo is doing a heluva job this year and i really dont think he did all that bad in the past,jmo...GO COWBOYS

I agree with you 100%. Romo has to know that protection is not holding up in that game. We will know a lot about this team and our coaches in that tough december schedule. If we go 3-2 in Dec, I consider we are very good
