Anyone think there's still a possibility they bring McCarthy back?

Seems highly unlikely, but clearly they were both working towards a deal. Anyone think they could potentially still reach one? Or bridge is burned? Is that unprecendented?

If any other franchise offers him a job he will take it. I don't think he wants this job dealing Jerry anymore. Jerry would have to significantly offer more than what he gets from other teams, and we know that ain't going to happen.

Even though I think he should have been fired after the GB debacle, I don't blame him one bit for not wanting to work for Jerry Jones any further.

This would not surprise me, especially if the main sticking point was the length of the contract as rumors suggest, depending on the offers McCarthy gets elsewhere (assuming he does of course).

That said, I think Jerry enjoys the media attention a new head coach hire provides too much, especially after last year's quiet off-season and early season collapse.

I think at this point, Jerry's going to milk the process as much as possible and every day that passes makes the possibility of McCarthy returning less likely.

Currently, Jerry is being talked about ad nauseum on every single show, station, media outlet, etc. Jerry is LOVING this attention, and is in hog heaven!!! I don't expect any resolution to finding a HC anytime soon.

Funny, not ha-ha funny...

This thought struck me just this morning as I was getting my day going.

That said...

The answer is no, mainly because I believe there was SIGNIFICANT difference in the number of years that Joneses were willing to consider versus what McC was willing to consider.

A pass happy coach returning to our QB situation?
Not likely.

No, can't see him returning. Zimmer is the fall back, front runner, or whatever Jerry needs him to be.

Only if everyone else turns him down, I can see Jerry groveling back. I don’t think Mike would come back though even if not offered a job elsewhere.

..naw, he's done. So many other viable options out there.

is there a chance Earth gets wiped next month by a asteroid?

I wonder how long it will take Jerral to understand that a performance-based contract is not inviting to any qualified candidate?

“I’ll give you eighty bucks a day, but if you win the Super Bowl you’ll get 50 million.”

That’s where Jerry is. He’d actually be lucky to get Prime. Moore knows better.

I guess he could beg Zimmer to take it for a year or two, but I don’t see where else he goes.

He wants to be the clear boss and stick with that loser philosophy, and expects there to be a line of great coaches who want in on that at a discounted rate. Wake up ego boy.

I’m sure he will. Often, stubborn people become more realistic into their 80s.

No!!!!!
That's not the way things work in the NFL.......bringing him back would not go over well in the locker room.
