Anyone Watching "Squid Game"?

I keep hearing about it but I haven't taken the plunge yet. May have to as curiousty is going to get the best of me. lol
 
I enjoyed it but might have liked it more if would have watched the CC version instead of the dubbed version.

The dubbed version made me feel I was watching Kung ** Hustle. I'm guessing some parts would have had more of a dread feeling than they did with the voice overs.

Anyone else run into that issue or have a different experience watching the CC version?

I watched the CC version and didn't have the issue you did. CC is always infinitely better than dubbing, except maybe for animated stuff like Miyazaki movies.

I was wondering if the acting seems better in the original Korean.
 
Ok, watched it and binged it in 2 days! haha I really enjoyed it. The English dubbing felt super cheesy at first, but I found the farther into the show I got the less I really noticed. Enjoyed the little twists there at the end. Fantastic show.

Unless they're planning a second season, centered around the cop, everything with him in it was a complete waste of time. [Spoiler/]

I have not read about any confirmed second season, but I do agree it seemed like an injected portion of the story that had no real purpose. While we were left to speculate, his fate is technically unconfirmed. So, who knows, maybe there will be a second part to all of this with him involved? Did his evidence on his phone ever send out? Why did the Frontman not take the headshot? Maybe one day we will see![Spoiler/]
 
It’s excellent, have 1 last episode to watch tonight. Has a season 2 been announced?

It's Hunger games with kids games.
Agreed on the hokey part but have been told if you watch with subtitles it's better.

Not really worth watching again.

I'm still trying to figure out if the acting is actually bad, or if the acting would be better for someone who understands Korean.
