Saw several media reports last night that Cowboys would be holding a press conference today at 11:00 EST to announce contract extension of Tony Romo. Also read that his parents were on their way to Dallas to be there. Just wondering if anyone has heard/seen confirmation this morning that there will be a press conference at this time. Hopefully either ESPN will cover or DC.com will carry it on the internet.
BTW: Saw an article this morning that the press conference will happen as soon as Jerry Jones returns from London today. Also while obviously Jerry aware/set down perimeters of this deal, there no doubt that Stephen Jones had to carry the ball and get it down. So hats off to both Jerry and cap specialist extraordinarie Stephen Jones for getting a deal that obviously very cap friendly. Part of the deal supposedly includes handling over a nice check to Romo today to combine with his 07 pay check; some of that money specifically comes from left over 07 cap money which has to be used by Nov 5.
