Are we going to add LB depth? What's the plan going forward

Please just give some educated guesses as what we will do next to help with the LB depth. We released Evans, not that he was a key contributor, but he was depth. Any ideas on how we will move forward, who may get moved around, signed? Please give your thoughts

Probably nothing. Pretty rare you see anything of significance done to your roster going into week 17.

Probably will call Durrell Johnson or Buddy Johnson up from the PS to be depth, with no plans for either to get more than special teams snaps. Durrell Johnson is a 6-3, 240-pound rookie from Liberty but seems to be more a traditional pass rusher than LB. Buddy Johnson is 6-2, 240 and is in his second year out of Texas A&M. He has played in four NFL games, for Pittsburgh in 2021. probably because he was a fourth-round pick. Since then, he's bounced around different practice squads.

If Evans clears waivers he'll probably be back on the practice squad. There aren't a lot of options at this time of the year.

Two regular season games remain. It would be near impossible to take an outside person now and expect him to integrate. The team doesn't need a sign and plug in name. Linebacker is what is there now, active or practice team.
