Am I the only one that finds this unexpected and a little odd with Guyton all over the map?

Richards has a high ankle sprain and can't play. Are you saying that Richards is not hurt? I don't know if he is or isn't but moving him to IR seems to say he is and would not have anything to do with Guyton.

Probably. Richards has a high ankle sprain. Makes sense to IR him. Has nothing to do with Guyton.Am I the only one that finds this unexpected and a little odd with Guyton all over the map?
I think that's a bit of an exaggeration of what happened. My thought is the message to Guyton is no more begging out of games for being a little nicked up or you dont exactly feel like playing, since your back up is unavailable.
Guyton is the left tackle. It can take a month or more to recover from a high-ankle sprain. Plus, we now have Chuma Edoga back and sadly, this team seems to think he can play left tackle adequately.
And Edoga is the backup, like Richards was. Difference is that Edoga shouldn't receive any snaps unless Guyton just bombs.Guyton is the left tackle.
Think that with Bland back and Butler having a good game, they may have felt they could do it instead of holding out hope he'd get back soon.Probably. Richards has a high ankle sprain. Makes sense to IR him. Has nothing to do with Guyton.
The odd part is Carson to IR. Why didn't that happen weeks ago when he got hurt?
He looked better than Guyton to me. Maybe he will be and Guyton can replace raggedy Steele.Anybody think Richards may be a starter next year? On merit, I mean.
I'm hoping that whoever we bring in at coach will at least consider that. I think Richards has shown he should get a shot at starting somewhere on the line. And if we're going to go with a youth movement, we might as well go all the way. If I'm reading the numbers correctly, cutting or trading Steele produces around a $5 million cap savings that could go toward a new contract for Tyler Smith. He looked better than Guyton to me.
