Why did you choose your avatar, and what does it say about you? Mine says, beers are too small!

Well I was told Troy Aikman was a bus driver and I like bus drivers. lol

I chose mine because it's the only picture I have where you can't see the other two eyes on top of my head.

Mike Trout is my now idol and, imo, the best athlete in any sport right now, and he plays for my baseball team and is pure class. I chose a neutral pic that didn't display the Angels logo out of respect to the board and the Rangers and Astros fans, here.

My first avatar was my BFV sitting in the motor pool at Liberty, Iraq. But I didn't like the attention it garnered.

My old avatar was a Homer Simpson sitting on the couch that The Gip designed for me after posting with me a few days when we first met but while I was away, they changed the forum again and it was lost. So, when I got back I couldn't even get my old moniker back until Quickdraw got it for me....so you can blame him. He was a mod and they were using my moniker as an alternative to suspending posters but none took them up on it.

I was looking for something that represented my frame of mind while I watched the Cowboys at that time and that fat cat oblivious to everything and excited about nothing summed me up pretty well.

I decided that I couldn't just have an avatar without a name or a personality so I named him Otis, after the character in Mayberry and my choices were Otis, the town drunk or Ernest T. Bass, the town idiot. I considered Otis T. Bass but just decided on Otis. I have really grown attached to him and when new people read my stuff, they take a look at Otis and they can't get upset...but a few have anyway. Otis doesn't like them either.

I have had a lot of fun with Otis and I am surprised more posters don't stick something up there they can bring to life and give it a story.
