Awesome Scale Model Racetrack

This guy took several years to build this scale-model racetrack. If you go to 2:40, you will see the actual track being "driven".

Forgive the question.

Do they have slot racers where they are run remote control. Power from the track below but the car can acllerate / steer from control and not the track?

This track is incredible. I'm blown away. I used to be addicted to H/O cars as a kid and had tracks set up in my basement all the time, but this thing is the granddaddy of them all. The most impressive thing to me is the way he did the different lines through the turns. Instead of having each track evenly spaced apart from the others so every car can go through the same turn at the same time, he used proper racing lines through each turn and brought strategy and skill into it, and the increased chance of an accident. My only question is how do the pits work? How do the cars know which track to follow in and out? Great stuff, thanks for sharing.
