Why is Ayodele so much better than Fujita? Fujita has a year of the 3-4 under his belt whereas Akin has never played in it as far as I know. I don't see how this guy is an upgrade. with 25 mil under the cap i would take a shot at Peterson. If we go into next year with 7 mil left over like we did last year i will be pissed.

Fujita was AWESOME when he was with the chiefs and i dont think he did that bad last year with us. For some reason every 1 wants to get rid of this guy but i think we should sign him up long term, he provides GREAT depth and hes has excellent athleticsm, size, and speed.

Looking at Fujita last year, he always bit inside and let the RB run outside, plus he was to slow and not strong enuff

Resign Fujita and draft another OLB...Fujita will get better next year. He never got a full TC to learn the position...he learned on the fly from the first week of the season.

I don't think Ayodele vs. Fujita has anything to do with the salary cap situation.

Scouts or coaches watching film can tell you which is the better player.

We have to go with the Cowboy brass on this one.

I like both of these players and it would be great if we can sign them both......depth in the NFL is important.

Obviously the Cowboys wanted to keep Fujita, but he wanted to explore FA. Ayodele is an upgrade in that he played DE in college. He has pass rushing skills that Fujita doesn't. He has also played 4 years now as a natural OLB that had to cover. Add that to his pass rushing skills to equals to a smoother transition into the 3-4. As for the 7 mil under the cap, remember we have to sign Roy, Tnew, Witten, James, and Johnson real soon. That extra cap space will help.

I think Fujita is even better....This New cat doesnt impress me at all:mad:

how much jax jags football have you ever watched?

i had sunday ticket and i watched two jax games thats all, but i know he is better than Fujita (who i like alot) Ayodele has a great tenacity and watching him play is alot of fun, he is very intense and aggressive. If nothing else he will bring a great attitude to our defense.

Did you ever watch Fujita with the Chiefs?

I did, every single game, and I said before we got him and people were suggesting we get him for a 5th round pick that he was an ok player, but nobody I would bother giving up a draft pick for. He's average, just ok, nothing more.

yes, i probably watched him in 3-4 games maybe more.

and he acctually stood out to me as a player i would like to have play for the cowboys, so i noticed him.

Listen to what the chiefs fans said about Fijita - that he was a decent player but nothing special but that the position needed to be upgrade.

Then listen to Jags fans - and they say Ayodele would be superior in a 3-4.

The upside potential isnt even close between these two players (Ayodele clearly with more upside).

Ultimately, we will have to wait and see what each of them signs for and then we can gauge how NFL coaches valued both of them.
