Not even the fact that we have bad runners it's the fact that we make no attempts to run the ball, we just want to throw throw throw!! We're going to get the most out of our 60 million dollar investment!!!!!!!

Can someone pass this on to McCarthy......lol
But then again maybe he can't run, which might explain why according to Jerry, Derrick Henry would not have had the same success here as the Ravens

I don't necessarily think you need to be a dominant running team - even though it certainly helps - but you can't have a complete lack of a running threat.

If I were the DC against Dallas, it would be simple: Drop seven every play, double CeeDee, tell my Dline to attack up the field, and not worry about run lanes. Dallas' below-average RBs just aren't going to hurt anyone even if defenses are completely focused on the pass. Even with a hobbled Pollard last year, teams had to, at least, respect that he was a legit NFL running back. This year even Dak isn't a running threat, which makes it even worse.

Being so one-dimensional makes it hard on everyone: the QB has less time, fewer passing lanes, and fewer open receivers; the Oline has to deal with DLine pinning their ears back every play, the receivers have less space and DBs that are not focused on the backfield at all.

This is just so simple. I don't get why Jerry doesn't get it.

You guys do understand that even if we ran the ball more we wouldn't gain anything from it? Our RBs are suckers and the o line can't establish a run game right now.

I mean I honestly want Dak gone but the one dimensional offense is hurting him badly. Big Mike just doesn't have other options.

JERRY JUST BLEW IT! Sorry for yelling.

i've seen a handful of instances where the run game wasn't generating much, but they (inexplicably) seemed to continue to do so, and lo and behold it was fairly effective. who'd have thunk

When you have a lead you typically run the ball.
That’s a copout. I realize that when you’re down 3+ scores, running goes out the window. But it really should take 3+ scores before that happens

Eagles have a -26 point differential on the first quarter. They still have not scored in that quarter all year. The reason they’re at 55% rushing for the year, is because they still ran the football, even when trailing.

It is not a cop out. It historically proven.

1. If your QB sucks you run the ball.
2. If you have a great running game, you run the ball.
3. If you have a lead you run the ball.

I'm not sure its a copout....the Cowboys have trailed by 3+ scores in 4 of their 7 games so far. It's a legit excuse this season. The Cowboys have been that bad early and often.

No… You’re right. I was just speaking in general terms. The Cowboys have been down big. Plus, I don’t think the Cowboys would be that successful due to their running back room and state of their o line

The team that leads the league in rush percentage has not scored a single point in the 1st quarter of any game this year. Go figure. They can run, and don't give up on running. We just surrender the run game.

Pittsburgh forces the run a lot, but they are running pretty well with Najee and now Warren. I'm not sure about Washington and imagine Jayden Daniels is helping there. The other teams are flat out really good at running the ball, lead or not.

Also most those teams have defenses tough to blow out, and it's a more run conducive game script.

Many on this board said we don't need a running game. Running backs hold little value. You can plug in anyone and the offense will function properly. Nobody will admit to it I'm sure, but this was a big topic of debate the last two offseasons. I don't care about calling anyone out, but can we please put this argument out of its misery?

I remember it well. The run game is antiquated. Play action is for suckers. Good times

Somebody forgot to tell Jerry Jones:

"Oh, by the way, the RB position has increased in value this season"
And Jerry will point to Zeke and say that's why I got the best back in FA. But Jerry forgot this isn't 2016 when Zeke was GREAT.

Its because he didn't think of it. All ideas are great as long as they come out of Jerry's mouth. That's why he doesn't like change and prefers comfortable situations
