The NFL Network was commenting on Marion Barber and his quad injury, saying that this type of injury could linger for roughly 10 weeks. My bad if this is a repost, but any word out of Valley Ranch regarding Barber?

And does anyone know when we can expect Felix Jones back in the lineup?

Thanks!

52 Of 53 Expected To Practice Next Week

Hopes are up that the Cowboys are coming close to erasing thier injury report as the team heads into its three-day bye weekend.

With rookie safety Mike Hamlin (wrist) practicing for the first time since the preseason, only four players were held out in the off week's two workouts. Roy Williams (ribs), Gerald Sensabaugh (thumb) and Felix Jones (knee) all did some light running.

The good news is those three should all be back when the Cowboys begin preparing for the Atlanta Falcons in earnest next Wednesday.

"They say all of them should practice except for Curtis Johnson," Phillips said.

Johnson, the pass rush specialist the team claimed just before final cuts, has missed all but one game with a hamstring injury.

Phillips also said it was not likely rookie tackle Robert Brewster (torn pectoral muscle) would be able to contribute this season when his Physically Unable to Perform exemption runs out.

Felix should be back this week, carry the ball three times, and be finished for the season.

I'm sorry, I couldn't help it. :D

People that suggest that he is injury prone are not fans, supposedly.

Felix is a poor man's Brian Westbrook.

All in favor of the Dallas Cowboys NEVER drafting a RB with the last name Jones say aye...

AYE!

Well the good thing here is if Felix gets back, and can stay healthy, then we can go with heavier doses of Felix and Choice and let Barber rest more and be more of a closer for now.

A heavier dose of Felix would be great. The problem is that he can't handle the doses he's been given.

They will never know unless they try.
What's the use of having a Ferrari if you're not going to open it up and see what it can do.

I want the brain trust at Valley Ranch to once and for all, assess Barber's and Felix's long-term viability and possible productivity to the club and then let one of those two china dolls go somewhere else.

But let one of them go only if we can get a damned good safety or cornerback and maybe a draft pick thrown in.

Tired of the revolving injury door with barber and felix so far.

Yes, it is too early in the season and too early in Felix's career, but this is something Jerra needs to start thinking about right now before the cookies and punch is served and it is too late -- and I am not speaking of the trade deadline.

God Bless Farmers Branch and its small industries!

I wish we'd use him like the Eagles use Westbrook. Send everyone deep and dump off to him with a linebacker in coverage. Westbrook is a Pro Bowler because of this simple play.
