More like the bill Jerry hasn't seen yet:laugh2:

Thats a pretty good little clip. :laugh2:

I watched the original about 100 times when I 1st saw it, absolutely hilarious.

I think he got slightly higher than expected. He probably should have gotten the same deal as Turner imo. But he still didn't get elite money so it wasn't that bad of a deal. I think that the deadline made them give a little more than normal.

who'd have figured we'd come to a day where a $45 million contract is *not* elite.

With NFL contracts I dont even look at the total money anymore. All I care about is the guaranteed money. Which is in the same neighborhood of M. Turner

Thats why the owners are opting out of the cba, shoot they were idiots for letting Tags talk them into agreeing to 60% of the revenues for the players. Its comical that the Rams only made ten million last year( if thats true) which is less than some players.

Yeah this one is in line, a little more actually, than Turner and it should be a little more than Turner, IMO.

Turner got that money after a year when he'd gained just over three hundred yards and 2 TDs.

Marion is coming off a year that he ran for nearly a thousand yards and scored 10 rushing TDs, not to mention he added nearly 300 more yards in recieving and 2 more TDs there, so I think he probably should get more than Turner.

Neither has proven themselves as the #1 back necassarily but in today's going market if Turner commands the money he did, then Marion had to get a little more cause I feel he's proven far more valuable off the bench the last two seasons than Turner has .

It's a good deal all around. I'm happy to have Marion locked up here.

They are both still unproven as starters, Barber was just given more opportunities. But the kicker is that Barber still had a year left before free agency so he's getting his money a year early. While Turner was able to auction himself to the highest bidder.

I thought there were two telling things about the contract. One was that it is 7 years and he is making 21 of it in the first three years. So that shows he is using the loophole now from dropping hte labor agreement early but is still prepaired should one be reached.

The second was that his agent was saying that Barber stood there for 20 minutes more after the meeting just repeating the number back to himself. So it seems like Barber would have agreed for less.

Barber has actually performed on the field whereas Turner has been a guy who was impressive in garbage time duty.

When I saw what Turner got I knew that Barber was going to have to do better -- MBIII did get more - but not really that much more
