WR-after the top 4, big drop-off.

RB-although a depth class, cannot wait to the 5th rd and hope a quality back is still available.

CB-who knows when Diggs returns, big hole in the slot. Good depth, but they need a corner who can play snaps year 1.

Would like to add a NT, LB, maybe edge, but with just 3 top 100 picks will be hard to address

I am not sure that our FO see's it that way.

1. We traded for a WR, supposedly for the future.
2. We picked up 2 RB's in FA. Are they going to completely abandon their RB by committee theory from last year?
3. We traded for a CB and they expect Carson to step up.

With all the holes we have, there is a legit argument for OL, DT and DE.

We keep talking about being more physical and running the ball. How does drafting a WR, RB and CB aline with that?

You can never count out a TE with GM Jethro.

Not sure how you can see holes DT/DE and not see them at WR or RB. 2 FA RBs signed were depth at best for a room with only Deuce as a returning vet. I agree we are probably not using a first, but I'm sure day-2 is possible.
Drafting a CB high is more about the future. We could be without both current CBs this time next season. Bland is an FA we may let walk ( too expensive ), and 2025 is the final year of any guaranteed money on Diggs's contract.

I definitely can see OLine as a strong possibility if Campbell or Membou falls to 12.

I'd say 4: DT, WR, CB, RB in that order of need. You could even put OL before RB if you believe it all starts up front.

Emmitt Smith would have never been as successful without his line. Nate, Larry, Eric, Mark and Mark. Not to mention he had Novacek and Moose.

People overrate Emmitt, imo. The only reason he got the rushing record was because that was winning in Jerry's mind. Great marketing of an overrated player.

If a Lamb or Parsons is there at any position, they should take them regardless of their position.

Bolster the line and the runs will come. The other thing is, most RBs develop faster than OL..so don't put the cart before the horse. You'll be developing offensive line while beating up your RB's durability like Zeke, although his decline was more self induced than anything.

We need big time players.

i bet the Cowboys are thinking the same about WR,if they stay at 12 they will most likely get the best WR in the draft,if they pass on WR they will likely be picking the 5th or 6th best WR in he draft.

I think they draft a receiver in the first but if they think Diggs will miss most of the season, cornerback will be drafted before running back. Jane said they love the Virginia Tech kid. I just don’t think they can pass on a Revel or Amos if they are there at 44. The Cowboys want a trade back so bad to get a top 75 extra pick.

I think WR, DT and RB in that order gives us the. est chance to maximize value.

1 - Tet
2 - Ty. Williams / Harmon
3 - Thuten / Judkins

Something like this would make me happy.

These are all depth, short-term pieces that are not even guaranteed roster spots.

Is is their doing, they created these huge holes in the roster where they have to draft for need

As soon as OSA was resigned, I knew they weren’t considering a high DT. I am expecting them to throw another late rd pick at the position and sign another aging veteran.

I really want the UCLA linebacker, but I cannot envision they can make that pick without adding more selections. Giving up their 4th absolutely is going to limit them, especially where they could address their rb or corner need, but probably long gone in the 5th.

Almost have no choice, even should consider less to bail. They could of fill some of these holes in fa, but decided against it, now they are forced to draft for need

The 90’s OL didn’t have a Single 1st rd pick, they coaches need to start developing these players and create a cohesive line. Don’t need 5 first rd picks.

This front office just doesn’t value the nt position. I am expecting another late rd pick and adding an aging veteran and them saying again we need to fix our run defense. They could of easily filled that need in fa but they decided against it once again
