Biggest Question: Can they help stop the run? The Cowboys notoriously struggled in stopping the running game a season ago and given how Dan Quinn likes to use his safeties in the box often, this question looms for them just as much as it does the front seven. With a beefed-up interior line thanks to the selection of Mazi Smith in the draft that should help, and in turn helping out the back end.

D line, corners AND safeties.
Somewhat lacking at the LBs -2nd level only. Mainly because it's unproven.

But for example, Dallas's 3rd guy at DE, corner or safety is favorable over most NFL rosters.
And I am far from a homer.
Its the truth.
There is actual NFL talent level depth.

Very excited to watch Quinn's group.

It's been since way back the early 90's dynasty that the Cowboys have ever had this kind of quality depth to go along with quality starters

The irony is after a flirtation with Earl Thomas and Jamal Adams, Stephen :" Cap-Boy " Jones has been insistent on not investing big for safety role,
either per early rounds NFL draft ... nor FA, ....nor big trades.

Safeties has been late round (ala Wilson, Izzy) .....or street FAs (ala .Kearse, Hooker)
the great thing is between McClay finding those cheap route ...and Dan Quinn coaching them ...we found a way that is making it work.

Right that was crazy how that was one of the positions fans were upset the Cowboys could never get right they wouldn't bring in the names they want they were calling Jerry and Steven cheap and look at us now three starters and two to three young players sitting there in the waiting not a bad turn around

next is defensive tackle maybe they'll finally get that right as well
