They are saying it is Cox vs. Overshown for playing time. So I guess, at least these writers feel Cox still has a chance to step up.

Bold prediction, LVE gets over 100 tackles.
Said if he had not missed 3 games last season, he would have. However, this tells me he had that many because the run defense from the DL, specifically the DT's were not doing their job.

If Mazi and Hankins, and others clean that up, LVE should have less than 100, and that should not be a knock on him either.

I just hope one of these guys can be a reliable Mike if LVE goes down. I like the talent in the group, just think we may need a vet on speed dial if one of these guys can’t show that they can be the MLB when called upon.

Cox v. Overshown can't be for your #3 LBer. You have to have a steadier vet.

If LVE goes down, you'd have three guys who haven't shown any ability to quickly diagnose anything. They'd be athletic, but that doesn't matter much if you're a step slow to react to everything.

It's pretty simple it's going to be a lot like the Sam Williams last year Overshown is going to have to fight for his snaps because we are deep at that position because he's the hybrid he's more like curse in Wilson than he is really not going to be LE is more like a middle linebacker I'm pretty sure that if LV is off the field which typically they only use two linebackers, then you're probably talking about

LVE/Clarke

Clarke slides to MLB and Overshown might be next to him,..who knows.

With the diff looks and lots of hybrid nickel, it is pretty safe to say only 1-2 people from this group will be on the field at the same time. LVE, Clark, Cox, 0sho

As a linebacker, I'm well content with both Cox and Overshown projecting forward.

what position(s) do you think he plays this year?
I seen where some said he will take on the role Kearse plays. But I have not seen that have being stated by the team. not that I seen anyway.
So I see him playing more the typical LB role, as well, I am sure they will have him do some of the Kearse type stuff as a hybrid LB / S. Also I can see him being used as a spy on the more mobile QB's.

I think people are way too high on the idea of Overshown carving out any specific role this year other than on STs.

He struggles to diagnose and isn't a fundamental tackler - you simply can't have that at LB when you spend all of your time in nickel and dime looks.

He has core talents and is very mobile from the start...give him six weeks to settle in.
